My customers are consistently folks who want to ardently care for that portion of the earth over which they have influence, and understand the role that honey bees play in that kind of holistic, sustainable stewardship. They are often beekeepers or honey bee hosts, but may also be permaculturists, organic gardeners, organic farmers, or orchardists.
Typically my customers host a small number of hives for the principal purpose of local pollination. Or, they are beekeepers who use Bee Tree Hives because, for many reasons, they're moving away from conventional beekeeping practices; they realize the importance of hosting their colonies in hives that are better suited to how honey bees are actually designed to live, rather than in hives constructed for the beekeeper's convenience.
At the same time, these bee-centered beekeepers or hosts may live in states that have laws requiring that honey bees be kept in hives with removable frames. Therefore, Bee Tree Hives still accept the standard frames used in conventional Langstroth hives.
