On May 9th of this year, I re-homed a swarm into a horizontal log hive that I had created just for that purpose. The original post about that can be found HERE.
I had set a full deep frame of capped honey on the bottom of the inside of the log in order to give them resources for building their own new comb. Between my check at one week, and my check at 4 weeks, they built their combs down and attached them to that frame. It will be a permanent artifact now.
