We had a fantastic day exploring the ethos, tenets, and practices of bee-centered beekeeping. This was not your typical beekeeping class with everyone suited up all day (although we encouraged everyone to be completely comfortable at all times). It was much more human-to-honey-bee relational as we explored the areas of habitat, regional adaptation, practices, hive cavity, the wonders of natural comb, discerning the morale of a honey bee colony, practical examples of the differences between conventional and bee-centered beekeeping, and much more. What a great time with all of these lovely people!
If you had been interested in this class, but were unable to attend, the course materials are available on the Products page of this site. The materials are written to read much more like a story than a textbook.
